Robert Allen on how Rich People Think

“From your programming you make
assumptions… and these assumptions
become your reality.”

- Robert G. Allen
In his book, Creating Wealth, Robert Allen talks about how the Rich think differently than the Poor. He explains that the rich have different expectations about money and that they tend to have a wealthy mindset.

I like what Robert has to say about mindset because it has always been clear to me that one’s reality is directly related to his/her thoughts. That is, if one believes that money is hard to come by - it will be. And, just the same, if one has an expectation to receive a lot of money in life, they do. This has been my observation in life.

Programming, as Allen explains, functions like a filter fixed around your mind. Each person’s filter influences how they interpret information. As such, what one considers impossible (say, having a net worth of $10 million), another person considers an absolute possibility.

Have you ever thought about your own programming and how it’s shaping your experience?
