Many people want to become millionaires and yet, so few actually do… The good news is that entry into the coveted Millionaire’s Club is not only possible, but very realistic. And even better, there are endless opportunities available that can become your entry ticket. Strangely enough, however, only a small percentage of the population actually belong to this club.

According to TheStar.com, there are 10.1 million people in the world who have a net worth that is at least $4 million (above and beyond their principle residence). While 10.1 million people seems like a large sum of people, there are 6.7 billion people on this planet and so this number really only represents 0.15% of the world’s population.

So, what gives? Why are there so few wealthy individuals around? If people are genuinely interested in becoming millionaires, and the opportunities to create wealth are abundant, why aren’t there more people on this planet running around with thick bank rolls in their pockets?

That’s a good question.

Perhaps the answer has a lot to do with a general mindset that people have. While many people want to be millionaires, I would venture to say that you would be hard pressed to find people who actually believe they can become one. You’d have an easier time finding people who believe it’s all about luck.

If you believe creating wealth is about luck, I’ve got news for you – you’re way off! On the contrary, it’s not as difficult to create a fortune as you might think. Make no mistake, hard work is required but it is by no means impossible to join the Millionaire’s Club. If you really want to gain entry, the doors are always open… Whether or not you believe luck has anything to do with it, when push comes to shove, luck is really not a factor because if you put yourself out there more often, you’ll increase your odds of succeeding. Many people confuse this outcome with luck, but they are both very different. If you understand this, you’ll quickly realize that creating wealth has more to do with maintaining an ideal mindset than it does with luck. There are plenty of limiting beliefs lingering around in the mindsets of a lot of people! If luck is not the excuse, then it’s about lack of resources (I don’t have enough money to start, no time, etc) or lack of knowledge (I couldn’t do that, I don’t have connections, etc).

Sound familiar?

The truth is, you can get started on your path towards wealth – today, in fact. Just know, however, that anybody who has done so before you will most likely say that it requires:

• Hard work
• Intense dedication
• Sacrifice
• Thick Skin
• Creativity
• Pro-activeness

This is a short list, but it could go on…

There are always going to be plenty of challenges tucked away on the road towards wealth. While it’s not difficult to join this group, as I say, each person will respond differently to challenges and uncertainty that will show up along the way. That’s the difficult part of the equation and perhaps even the greatest barrier to entry into the club. Read any biography of a regular-guy-turned-millionaire to confirm this. An ideal mindset will help you to persist in the face of adversity. In the end, it really is all about mindset as you will soon find out.

In light of the aforementioned realities, loving what you do makes for a great insurance policy because it will always keep you in the game!
